Genevieve Long is a freelance journalist and photojournalist based in New York City. She has more than four years of experience in print and online journalism, and has traveled throughout the U.S. and Central America for reporting assignments.
She was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in the state capitol of Olympia. She has traveled extensively in China, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and throughout the U.S., including New Orleans, Washington, DC, and Boston. She has lived in Japan three times (Kanazawa, Tokyo, and Gifu), Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Kentucky. She has lived in New York City since 2005.
Genevieve holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations, with a minor in East Asian Languages and Cultures, from the University of Southern California.
