Texting Good for your Health?
"Today, Fogg's ideas that once seemed like science fiction are in widespread use. Anyone can develop a smart phone application designed to influence behavior, and users can choose from a wide array of options to help them do everything from lose weight to sleep better. There are also text-based programs. But Fogg himself isn't in the business of selling iPhone apps; instead, he wants to help health experts and developers pool their knowledge to make effective phone-based health programs."
I wonder if they will develop an application to remind people not to text while driving or crossing the street!

Do you think that would make
Do you think that would make any good effect? As far as I feel smart phone applications are still applications which are at your mercy. You install them, you set the options and if they don't work the way you want them to work, you simply un-install them. Developing apps from weight-loss to sleep and even reminding people not to text requires some effort from the smartphone user himself because people get attracted to apps they like so it's unlikely they will go for an app who acts like a school-teacher and all apps aren't hugely persistent with their messages like...a friend who until unless you listen to him won't stop bugging you...so in my opinion developers should create innovative apps which sorts of awaken the user and keeps asking him/her questions...like Are you really sure you don't to exercise today? Like that.
Sounds funny but there are people who need some type of motivation and kick to get going.
